KARACHI: The draft of the amendment bill of Sindh Local Government has been finalized, which will be tabled before Sindh Assembly to seek its approval from the house, Geo news reported Monday.

The coalition parties in Sindh government including PPP and MQM have also come to agreement on appointment of Administrators in Sindh province, sources said.

This was decided amid core committees� meeting of PPP and MQM, which met here at CM house in metropolis, comprising of senior ministers and leaders of two parties.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Senior Minister Pir Mazhar-ul- Haq, Local Bodies Minister Agha Siraj Durrani, Law Minister Ayaz Soomro, CM�s Advisor Rashid Rabbani, CM�s Information Advisor Jamil Soomro, Katchi Abadis Minister Rafiq Engineer and PPP Karachi Division chief Najmi Alam were also present on the occasion.

MQM delegation comprised Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Dr. Farooq Sattar, Ports and Shipping Minister Babar Khan Ghauri, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Saghir Ahmed, other ministers Adil Siddiqui and Waseem Ahmed.

The meeting finalized the draft of amendment bill 2010 of Sindh local government after thoroughly discussing it and now the draft of bill will be forwarded to CM Qaim Ali Shah and Governor Ishrat ul Ebad for announcement.


According to sources, after seeking ratification from Sindh Assembly the amendment bill 2010 will become law featuring the appointment of government officials as Administrators in Sindh province.
